Since the anime was to be biographical we first started gathering information about morihei Ueshiba, who is the founder of Aikido and Onisburo Deguchi who was the founder of Shinto and also played an important role in O-Sensei’s Life. For this, we were provided with books, as well as used the Internet for research purposes.

Based on the research, we created two timelines. One represented O-Sensei’s life while the other one represented the history of Japan during Ueshiba’s lifetime.

Furthermore we created many documents about philosophies and people that played an important part in Morihei’s life.
